Bains and Wagler Elected Partners Effective January 1, 2019
Barrett McNagny LLP is pleased to announce that Mark H. Bains and Philip A. Wagler were elected Partners effective January 1, 2019. Mr. Bains concentrates his practice in the area of real estate law, including commercial and residential real estate transactions, land use planning, real estate litigation, and construction law. Mr. Wagler focuses his practice on business succession planning, federal and state taxation, estate planning, and estate administration
Mr. Bains received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Wabash College and his J.D., cum laude, from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Bloomington. He serves on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fort Wayne and previously served on the Board of Directors of Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana. In 2017 and 2018, Mr. Bains was selected as a “Rising Star” by the Indiana Super Lawyers © publication.
Mr. Wagler received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Bethel College, his M.B.A. in Finance from Indiana University Kelley School of Business, and his J.D., cum laude, from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Bloomington. He is a member of the Allen County Bar Association, for which he serves as Chairman of the Probate, Trust & Tax Section, and of the Indiana State Bar Association, for which he serves as a member of the Tax Section Council. Mr. Wagler is a member of the Fort Wayne Estate Planning Council and the Planned Giving Council of Northeast Indiana.
Mr. Bains and Mr. Wagler are admitted to practice before the Indiana state courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. Mr. Wagler is also licensed to practice before the Florida state courts.
